Synopsis
Kai Po Che starts with the best friends Ishaan, Omi and Govind - young, ambitious and restless - are trying to make a mark in the India of the early 2000s.
These are exciting times - a new millennium has just dawned, India's a nuclear power and ostensibly shining - a perfect place for the 3 Ahmedabad boys to start a business that could be their ticket to fame and riches.
In a country where cricket is religion, they hit upon a brilliant plan - to start a training academy that could produce India's next sporting superstars! What follows is without doubt the greatest adventure of their lives, as they attempt to navigate the big hurdles in the path of fulfilling their dreams.

There were a trio of films to top the $10,000 mark on the per theater chart. Somebody Up There Likes Me earned first place with $34,362 in its one theater. The overall number one film, Oz the Great and Powerful, earned second place with an average of $20,223 in nearly 4,000 theaters. The final film in the $10,000 club was The We and the I, which managed $10,774 in one theater.

With the Oscars being handed out this weekend, moviegoers will likely be too distracted to see limited releases. There are a few that are earning great reviews and perhaps one of them will find an audience. 11 Flowers is earning perfect reviews, while Alex Karpovsky has a double-bill with Red Flag and Rubberneck. Both have a shot at doing well. Bless Me, Ultima is earning great reviews, but it is opening in too many theaters to thrive.
