Theater Averages: Getting Smarter

The Miseducation of Cameron Post was the only film in the $10,000 club this past weekend earning an average of $24,319 in two theaters.
The rest of the new limited releases had a wide range of results. Along with the Gods: The Last 49 Days earned $423,000 in 47 theaters for an average of $8,993. That’s fantastic for a foreign-language film. Nico, 1988 and Never Goin’ Back both did well with averages of $6,155 and $5,161 respectively. Both films were playing in two theaters. Rendezvous in July struggled with an average of $3,040, also in two theaters. Meanwhile, The Family barely avoided the Mendoza Line with $2,030 in its lone theater.
