Theater Counts: Ready Player One Debuts in Blockbusting 4,234 Theaters

Ready Player One

Ready Player One will open in a monster 4,234 theaters this weekend, according to Warner Bros. Thursday count, making it the 31st-widest opening of all time, and the third-widest release in March, fractionally behind Men in Black 3 (4,248) and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (4,242). It’s expected to open much closer to MiB 3’s $54.6 million than BvS’s $166 million.
