DVD Sales - Blades Glide into First Place
September 9, 2007
New releases were not that plentiful on the sales chart this week, but they did take the top two spots with Blades of Glory leading the way. Over its first week of release, the film sold 905,000 units for a total of $14.48 million in sales.
Heroes - The Complete First Season placed second with 420,000 units sold.
However, thanks to a much higher sticker price, it was first in raw dollars with $15.52 million in sales.
Wild Hogs fell to third with 279,000 units sold this week or 3.22 million in total, which works out to $51.42 million in revenue.
300 sales have now hit 7.63 million units / $173.29 million after moving 201,000 units this past week.
Finally, Perfect Stranger placed fifth with 131,000 units sold for the week for a total of 475,000 after two.
There were only two other new releases to chart this week with Kickin' It Old Skool coming in ninth with 63,000 units / $1.14 million sold while Mickey's Clubhouse - Mickey's Treat placed tenth with 60,000 units / $896,000 in sales.
