They re-designed the placeholder site and now it looks slightly less bad, but still very terrible.
More information was added to the site this weekend, including information on the rules of Air Guitar.
A new clip was added to the site and it's the end of the movie, but not the same end of the movie that you see if you play the worst game ever. I'm happy it's not the same ending, or I would have had to hurt someone. On a side note, I doubt either of these clips are the true end to the movie; they are just messing with our minds.
Just the synopsis, two trailers, and a link to the MySpace page.
The cast & crew bios, production notes, image galleries were added to the site this week. Also added were several short video clips. Normally this would be a good thing, but the more I see of this movie, the less I want to watch it.
Not much as change since the site first appeared on this list. There's plenty of information, but not much cohesion.
The site's been completely redone and now has all the usual information. There's a section for video that's not online at the moment and I assume it will contain some clips.
This is a good site with all of the usual features, (synopsis, production notes, image gallery, and trailer. There are also plenty of extras including restricted image gallery and trailer, clips and a rather well done game. It's a simple target practicing game, but it is challenging enough to be engaging but not so hard it is frustrating. Also, it is long enough to not feel cheap but not so long you lose interest before you are done. Lastly, the site has enough sound and animation to keep a surfer's attention and that helps its win the gastromantic Weekly Website Award.
Wow. Not a single digital daily has come out for the past year. I'm starting to think this movie is dead.
The sites been completely redone but the only content is the trailer. On the other hand, there's enough animation to be at least a little hopeful.
All the usual features are here, but nothing that you could call an extra.
The flash site launched this week and it has the usual features, (synopsis, image gallery, link to MySpace, etc.), but I had an issue with the trailer and couldn't watch it properly. Not sure if it is on my end or theirs, but hopefully it will fixed shortly.
The flash site is up but it's just the basics.
Typical placeholder site with just the synopsis, image gallery, and the trailer.
There's an update this week, but it's not on the site. You can check out the girls and guys of Grindhouse here.
Typical Fox Searchlight site, but at least the clips with Chris Rock help keep it entertaining. Fox Searchlight sites tend to have a lot of information, a lot, but I don't like the format and they are not individual enough.
The last section, Luvlee was added to the site.
Images from Mr. Bean's world tour were added to the site.
The site is up but all it has are the usual features. There's not enough here to make it stand out.
No real changes in a while. It's a good site that stands apart from the others on this week's list, but not enough to be award-worthy.
New look and an announcement that the first full trailer will go live this time next week.
Slightly new look, but no real changes in content.
Just a short, and very violent clip. I'm not sure the MPAA allows that on a movie site.
The full site is up, but most of the content is marked coming soon. So far it is nowhere near an award-worthy site; however, give what we can see here and the websites for the previous films, there's little doubt it will be in contention before long.
Just the synopsis, image gallery and trailer so far.
There's a new video blog on the web net seen in the movie.
The section for cast now has a list of the cast and another list for the crew. The bios haven't been added yet, but I assume they will be for next week. Also, the track listing for the soundtrack has been added.
All the regular features are here, but not much else.
Not much so far, but I did like the trailer. However, I might not be unbiased here cause I do like the cast. I haven't seen anything with Nathan Fillion that he wasn't good in, Keri Russell is one of those actresses I thought should be more famous that she is, and it's great to see Andy Griffith in a movie again.
The site and blog are back, and this was caused by a server upgrade. And this server upgrade was caused by a spike in traffic following the film's appearance at WonderCon. However interesting this might be, the real news this week is the release of the theatrical trailer. I'm really looking forward to seeing this movie, even if I have to wait till the home market to see it.
