2013 Awards Season: Argo's Wins go From Zero to Thirty

Argo continues its winning ways at the WGAs this weekend. It has become the defacto favorite for the Oscars, despite the high profile Oscar snub.

The categories and awards are...

ORIGINAL SCREENPLAY

• Mark Boal for Zero Dark Thirty

• Chris Terrio for Argo

• Malik Bendjelloul for Searching for Sugar Man

• Mark Boal winning for Zero Dark Thirty was not a surprise. Wes Anderson has a really good track record and Moonrise Kingdom is arguably his best movie, so had he won it wouldn't have been a major upset.
• Chris Terrio winning for Argo over Lincoln and The Silver Linings Playbook would have been a surprise, if the film hadn't won a ton of awards already. At this point, it is the favorite to win everything.
• Searching for Sugar Man has overtaken The Invisible War for favorite come Oscar night.
