DVD Releases for December 9, 2008

December 8th, 2008

It's a deceptively light week with most of the top ten DVDs on Amazon's sales chart coming from The Dark Knight. In fact, that film is dominating sales so much that it has scared away most of the competition. Don't get me wrong, it's not the only release worth picking up, but the either the Two-Disc Special Edition DVD or the Blu-ray w/ Digital Copy are probably the best picks this week. Personally, I went with the Limited Edition Blu-ray w/ Batpod, but I clearly should not be trusted with money. There are other DVDs coming out this week that are also worthy of the DVD Pick of the Week, including Man on Wire - Buy from Amazon and Lost - Season Four - Buy from Amazon: DVD or Blu-ray. More...

Movie Website Reviews for Weekend of April 18, 2008

April 20th, 2008

Only a handful of sites this week that rise just to the level of being average. And only one site, The Forbidden Kingdom - Official Site, that even comes close to being award worthy. Fortunately, it is clearly at that level and it has everything one could need including plenty of information, sound & animation, and even a game. More...

Where in the World are the Limited Releases

April 18th, 2008

There are plenty of limited releases this week, but none are earning amazing reviews. In fact, most are earning below 50% positive. Where in the World is Osama Bin Laden should be the biggest hit of the weekend, at least in terms of raw dollars, but I not even prepared to guess which one could be the big hit on the per theater chart. More...
