It was another battle at the domestic box office this week with Kung Fu Panda 4, and Dune: Part Two once again going head-to-head for the number one and number two spot, with the former taking the weekend, while the latter topped the weekday dailies chart. To date, the two films have combined for over $328 million in domestic revenue, with Dune grabbing $213 million, while Kung Fu Panda 4 holds $114 million. This week will see both take a backseat to the latest in the Ghostbusters franchise as Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire charges into theaters.

After spending its first two weeks as the widest release in North America, Dune: Part Two slips into the second place spot this week, dropping 227 locations, while still playing in a solid 3,847 cinemas. Taking its place this week is last week’s newcomer , Kung Fu Panda 4, which increases its viewing opportunities by adding 32 theaters for a total of 4,067 locations. The fourth installment in the Kung Fu Panda franchise diced up $58 million in its opening weekend, and currently enjoys a six-day domestic total of just over $73 million. This week both films will have to contend with a bevy of new films making their theatrical debuts.

After spending its first two weeks as the widest release and at the box office itself, Argylle slips to second this week, despite an increase in showings as it heads into its third week. The spy-action comedy has racked up just over $31 million in 13-days at the domestic box office, while bringing in roughly the same ($32 million) from overseas play. This week, the espionage feature will take a back seat to Valentine’s Day newcomers Madame Web, and the aptly-named considering the holiday, Bob Marley: One Love.

As the lone wide release to enter theaters last week, Wonka dominated both the domestic and international box office, scoring a solid $39 million from North American showings, while adding just over $54 million to its previous overseas total of $59 million. The Willy Wonka origin story starring Timothée Chalamet will begin its sophomore frame by adding 10 locations this week, making the musical the widest film in the land with availability in 4,213 cinemas. Wonka will face far stiffer competition however this week at the box office as a bevy of new films make their way into theaters in time for the Christmas holiday.
