DVD Releases for May 16, 2006

May 15th, 2006

It's a pretty average week for DVD releases with a handful of DVDs worth checking out. That said, there wasn't many that were in competition for DVD Pick of the Week and in the end Home Movies - Season Four was the only one in serious contention. The only other DVD on this week's list than I would rate as a must have is These Girls, but I admit, that is partially due to my pro-Canada bias. More...

Neil Young has Golden Weekend

February 14th, 2006

Neil Young: Heart of Gold was the only film to top $10,000 per theatre average this weekend taking in almost $54,000 in 4 theatres for an average of $13,477. More...

Movie Website Updates for December 16 - December 22

December 22nd, 2005

This week's list of movie site is abridged and only contains the films that are opening this week, unfortunately, of those eleven films, only one had any significant updates this week. That site was Munich - Official Site, but I can't say its an award-winning site. I guess that means the Weekly Website Award is taking a vacation over the holidays. More...

Limited Releases: Master of the Golden Statues

December 21st, 2005

There's not much time for films looking for a little Oscar glory, so there's no surprise that a few films are trying to squeak in under the wire. However, outside a near certain Best Foreign Language nod to Master of the Crimson Armor, it doesn't seem like any of the films on this week's list are destined for Oscar glory. More...

Movie Website Updates for November 26 - December 8

December 8th, 2005

During the past week promotional websites for several movies were launched and some older ones added additional content. Despite being there being two weeks between updates, this was not a very strong week. Sure, there were plenty of websites updated, but not a lot that really stood out as being award worthy. In the end it was Clerks 2: The Passion of the Clerks - Official Site that was the best of the bunch and hopefully it will continue to grow and earn that award. More...
