Makes Good Sense

The Sixth Sense is a movie that almost demands to be seen twice. It is a little like The Crying Game, in that there is a secret part that needs to be kept quiet for the viewer, so I won't tell you too much here. I am one of the people who did see it twice, and it was impressive both times.

Everyone already knows from the trailers that there is a little boy, frail and frightened, who can see dead people. It is a well done film with a good story about how this sixth sense of his wreaks havoc in his life and how Bruce Willis helps him.

The acting is terrific, especially young Haley Joel Osment, and the cast really does a good job with the material. I'd love to tell you more but we must preserve the powerful ending. I was a little surprised to see this in the Best Picture nominees, but do think it deserves kudos for an outstanding job on every level.
