Synopsis
When inept jewel thieves lose a diamond with mysterious powers, the jewel is accidentally swept up by a circus kangaroo. The baby kangaroo evades the thieves but becomes separated from her mother for the first time in her young life. She hides in a barn of a nearby farm, where she is found by Ella, a shy and lonely teen. Ella names the baby kangaroo Joey. The magical diamond is soon found to have strange abilities. One is the ability to give Joey the power of speech! Ella and her boyfriend Luke must get Joey safely back to her home before she is captured by the cops or the thieves.
